Underwater Photography Class

If you're already extremely comfortable in the water, know how to scuba dive or least snorkel, you may be interested in an underwater photography class. Underwater photography is a wonderful way to enjoy an alien world, you'll have memories, and often, striking photographs of underwater wildlife, bubbles, or even coral, seaweed and rock formations.

When you begin your journey for underwater photography you may enjoy just a simple disposable camera, once the bug has bitten you, these disposable underwater cameras no longer suffice and your interested in getting deeper into this hobby. If this is the case for you, it's time to hop online and start researching different underwater photography classes that may be available. There's a good chance there is probably one near the water near you. Believe it or not, underwater photography classes are often taught in basic lakes, rivers, and of course in the ocean. So you shouldn't have any trouble finding a teacher somewhere near you.

Of course, if it's a journey you're looking for, you can go to some of the wonderful national seaside parks around the world. Head for the warmer waters where you will see bright corals, brightly colored fish, and enjoy swimming with some of the world's most diverse wildlife. There are plenty of teachers for photography in these national park areas, some of them are world renowned, and others are hobbyists that are sharing their own joy.

If you're very serious, you can find some world-renowned teachers located throughout the world for underwater photography. Use your Internet connection and search out the names of those photographers that you enjoy, then look and see if they're having a class or have a website of their own. You may also contact them via e-mail and see if they're willing to teach their trade. You might just be surprised how willing some of these photographers are to share their joy of underwater adventures.

There are also online technique classes you can take in order to improve your underwater photography techniques. These are online classes, and you'll have homework to do, usually a class form or blackboard where you can join other students for discussion, and you'll usually have a certification at the end of these online classes. As long as your a self starter, these online photography classes are great way to pick up a few techniques and tips concerning underwater photography.

The joys of underwater photography are many, but remember, it is an alien environment and your safety comes first. Make sure before starting any underwater photography class that you have a basic understanding of scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming. No shot is worth your life even if it's the best underwater photography picture ever taken.
